THE companies which make up the backbone of Britain’s economy celebrated in style at the 2020 SME National Business Awards on Friday.

The prestigious awards had to be postponed last year due to the pandemic, but last night more than 600 representatives from the country’s best small and medium enterprises were finally able to gather together to celebrate the 2020 finalists and award winners.

The event shone a spotlight on the achievements of companies that have up to 250 employees and was hosted at Wembley Stadium.

Winners at the exclusive gala ceremony included 20/30 Labs, The Saddle Bank and MRS Digital.

Damian Cummins, Awards Director said: “We’re all aware that SMEs are responsible for driving innovation and competition in many of Britain’s economic sectors.”

“They work hard, day in and day out, creating jobs, opportunities and greater choice for consumers which is why we are so proud to help raise their profile through these prestigious awards.”

“The calibre of the entries from all the winners and finalists was incredibly high. We should all be proud that such businesses choose to call Britain home.”

The 2021 SME National Business Awards ceremony will take place at Wembley Stadium on Friday 3rd December. The closing date for all entries is Wednesday 25th August 2021 at 3pm.
