Today saw the launch of the National BID Awards 2026, celebrating the very best Business Improvement Districts (BID) from across the UK.

BIDs have become an essential part of promoting both businesses and areas, creating inward investment and employment, with some excellent initiatives, it’s time to share, develop and promote their success stories.

The awards are now open at nbawards.co.uk; any BID may enter up to 2 categories.

Minister for Local Growth, Alex Norris, said: “It is wonderful to see Business Improvement Districts getting recognition for the vital role they play in creating thriving high streets, open job opportunities and bringing communities together across the country.

“We are strengthening BIDs to support town centres, boost tourism and deliver economic growth as promised in our Plan for Change”

Speaking on behalf of the organisers, the awards director, Damian Cummins said: “For far too long BIDs have not been recognised in their own right. The amount of time and hard work that goes into these areas deserves the highest praise. We’re looking forward to celebrating the very best at the Leonardo Royal in London Tower Bridge in February.”

These prestigious National awards are only open to BIDs and are not for individual companies.
