A major refurbishment project has been announced for Edinburgh’s Omni Centre, promising to transform the popular city destination with a host of modern upgrades and new features.

The multi-million pound investment, led by international investment group Triple B, follows their acquisition of the centre in April last year and marks the beginning of what they describe as the centre’s “journey of evolution.”

The ambitious plans include significant improvements to the public realm, such as upgraded walkways and new flooring throughout the centre.

Visitors can also expect an enhanced main entrance with improved visibility, the installation of replacement LED lighting, and the creation of new seating zones.

Substantial internal structural work is also scheduled, aimed at providing inviting spaces “for visitors to meet, dwell and enjoy”. The refurbishment is expected to be completed later this year.

Martin Botha, Omni Edinburgh Centre Manager, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating: “We are thrilled to announce our improvement plans for OMNi, a project that reflects our commitment to providing an exceptional experience for our visitors and a bustling environment for our brands.”

He added that the transformation will introduce exciting new features, modern amenities, a brand revamp, and the launch of live events and experiences.

These enhancements are designed to create a space that not only meets but exceeds the expectations of the more than four million visitors the centre welcomes annually.

Botha emphasised the centre’s mission to inject a sense of fun and excitement into every visit, whether guests are meeting friends before heading out into the city or enjoying quality downtime within the centre, day or night.

With these extensive upgrades, the Omni Centre aims to cement its reputation as Edinburgh’s top leisure destination, offering a revitalised environment for both visitors and the brands that call it home
