MILLER Homes will deliver 114 new affordable homes across three of its Scotland East developments providing much needed homes by the end of the year.
At its Carberry Grange development in Whitecraig, East Lothian, eight affordable homes are now occupied with another 55 under construction including a number of bungalow style properties specifically made for those with disabilities. In Maddiston, Falkirk, 24 new homes will be delivered at the homebuilder’s Station Brae development, and at Kinglass Meadows in Bo’ness, 27 homes will be made available by autumn.
Working closely with housing providers, Places for People and Loretto Housing Association, the new homes have been built to a high specification, ensuring good quality homes for the local communities.
Roddy Macdonald, Regional Director of Development Scotland, from Places for People said: “Places for People is thrilled to continue our successful partnership with Miller Homes in the projects at Whitecraigs and Kinglass Meadows. We recognise the need to develop and deliver affordable homes for local communities and through collaboration with Miller Homes we are delighted to help bring a number to East Lothian and Bo’ness. These homes will give people the opportunity to become part of a vibrant and thriving local community.”
Neil Gaffney, Regional Operations Director for Miller Homes Scotland East, said: “The mix of affordable homes on our developments is an extremely important part of building new communities. Our 5-star builder status extends to our affordable homes, and we ensure a focus on quality and high specification, while still being mindful of the budgets of local housing authorities. This year we’ve been working closely with both Places for People and Loretto Housing Association to make sure we’re providing the right kind of homes required for the needs of the local communities.”
