Clare Slipper joins growing communications consultancy, building strategic communications capacity

MESSAGE Matters, the award-winning strategic communications agency, has added to its team with the appointment of public affairs and communications specialist Clare Slipper.

Clare Slipper has joined the Edinburgh-based company as an Associate, bringing with her almost 10 years in-house and agency experience in public affairs and communications.

Having started her career working in the Edinburgh team of the international communications firm Engine MHP, she joins Message Matters having spent the last seven years working for the National Farmers’ Union of Scotland (NFU Scotland) where she led the political strategy and public affairs output of the organisation.

Message Matters was established in 2012 by Peter Duncan and Andy Maciver. The new appointment comes as the firm continues to expand its work with an increasingly diverse portfolio of clients. It operates throughout the UK, delivering a spectrum of integrated communications services, including media relations, political relations, campaigns and branding.

Message Matters Director Andy Maciver said:

“Clare’s a fantastic addition to our team – we’re glad to have been able to bring her here. She is very highly regarded by Ministers, advisers and politicians across Holyrood and Westminster, and brings her considerable skills and experience from NFU Scotland to assist our clients across our political and media operations.”

Message Matters Associate Clare Slipper said:

“I am delighted to be joining Message Matters at an exciting time for the company as it expands its profile across Scotland and the UK. I look forward to drawing on my experience of strategic and political communications to support clients to reach key audiences and share their stories in engaging and compelling ways.”
