Scotland’s leading provider of older person and specialist care, Meallmore, has announced plans to open its 30th care home in spring 2027, marking a significant milestone for the growing care group.
Located in Clarkston, East Renfrewshire, Eaglesham House Care Home will offer personalised nursing care and support for up to 50 residents, including those living with dementia and related conditions. The purpose-built facility has been designed to deliver high-quality care within a modern, comfortable environment.
The new home will feature a range of premium amenities, including private ensuite bedrooms, a cinema room, hair salon and even a champagne bar, all aimed at enhancing residents’ quality of life and encouraging social interaction.
The development represents a £15 million investment by Meallmore and is expected to deliver around 80 full-time equivalent jobs across a variety of roles, including nursing, care support, administration and management positions. Recruitment is set to begin in September 2026.
Built on the former grounds of Greenbank Church, Eaglesham House forms part of Meallmore’s wider strategy to expand its portfolio of high-quality care homes in response to Scotland’s ageing population and increasing demand for modern care services. It will become the group’s ninth home in the Greater Glasgow and West Scotland region.
Earlier this year, Meallmore was named among the Top 20 Large Care Home Groups in the UK for the first time, reflecting its reputation for delivering high standards of care, particularly for residents with dementia.

Meallmore currently operates 27 homes across Scotland, including 21 for older people, five for adults with mental health needs and one for adults with learning or physical disabilities. Alongside Eaglesham House, two additional developments in Aberdeen City and Broughty Ferry are nearing completion, further strengthening the group’s presence across the country.
