McGill’s Buses has confirmed that all services will be suspended on Friday, 24th January across the central belt including Strathclyde, Forth Valley and Edinburgh between the hours of 9am-6pm, due to the severe weather conditions caused by Storm Eowyn. This decision has been made to prioritise the safety of our passengers, drivers, and staff.

Storm Eowyn is forecast to bring extremely high winds, heavy rain, and hazardous travel conditions across the region, making it unsafe for buses to operate.

Regarding any updates and resumption of services, a McGill spokesman commented:

“We will closely monitor weather conditions and work with local authorities to determine when it is safe to resume operations. Updates will be provided through our official website, social media channels, and customer service phoneline.

We encourage passengers to plan ahead and make alternative travel arrangements for Friday. Customers with any inquiries are advised to contact our customer service team at 03330 16 61 62 or visit our website at https://www.mcgillsbuses.co.uk/.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank our customers for their understanding during this challenging time. Safety remains our top priority, and we appreciate your cooperation as we navigate the impacts of Storm Eowyn.”
