Maritime Developments Limited (MDL), a leading provider of equipment solutions and services for the energy and marine sectors, has appointed two new directors to its Board to support strategic growth initiatives.

Aleksandra Jurczak has moved into the role of Director of Strategy & Marketing and Ramsay Keay has joined as Project Director.

The appointments come as MDL seeks to leverage new opportunities and broaden its market reach in response to a dynamic energy sector, as the company continues to prioritise operational excellence and innovation across its portfolio.

Chartered Marketing and business development leader with over a decade of experience in the offshore energy markets, Aleksandra brings to the Board a robust background in strategic brand development and market expansion.

As Director of Strategy & Marketing, she will lead the company’s focus on long-term growth, overseeing the alignment of strategic priorities across both traditional and renewable energy sectors, and enhancing MDL’s position across core and emerging markets.

Ramsay Keay has joined the company to take on the Project Director role, focused on enhancing MDL’s project execution capabilities, streamlining delivery and ensuring the highest standards of customer service globally, across all of MDL’s business units.

From his previous strategic and senior management roles at SSE Renewables, SSE Networks, Maersk Oil, Ocean Installer and TechnipFMC, he is equipped with extensive engineering and project management expertise in complex operations across the traditional and renewable energy sectors.

Ramsay’s appointment reflects MDL’s strategic objective to increase its role in diversifying the energy mix, by delivering technically demanding projects to a growing client base worldwide.

Derek Smith, MDL CEO, said:
“We are pleased to welcome Aleks and Ramsay to the Board. Their combined knowledge of the drivers within the energy industry and in-depth understanding of MDL’s unique proposition strengthens the leadership team significantly, positioning us to address the demands of an evolving industry head-on.
“These appointments underscore MDL’s commitment to continuing our growth trajectory across both traditional and renewable energy markets, by championing thought leadership and maintaining top quality execution – for every client, on every project.”

Aleksandra Jurczak commented:
“Having been part of MDL’s incredible journey for many years, I am both proud and privileged to be joining the Board and take an even more active role in shaping the company’s future.

“MDL has proven its resilience many times over against the changing tides in the energy industry. By focusing on innovative approaches to deliver added value to global operations – despite unfavourable market conditions – it has emerged as a key player in enabling challenged flex-lay scopes in all corners of the world.

“With this strong foundation and the strategies that we are putting in place, I am certain the business will continue to grow in strength as one of the brand names driving sustainable diversification of our energy mix.”

Ramsay Keay said:
“Joining MDL at this pivotal stage in its growth is a unique opportunity, and one that I relish.
“With an unwavering commitment to operational excellence and client satisfaction, MDL is well positioned to lead the energy transition by continuing to deliver innovative and technically demanding solutions, which it is already known for in the subsea sector.

“I look forward to enhancing our project execution capabilities and contributing to MDL’s vision of supporting a resilient and diversified energy future.”
