Footwear and sports fashion retailer Footasylum is making a return to Glasgow’s Silverburn shopping centre with an expanded two-storey unit, marking its fourth store in the city and reinforcing the mall’s push to bolster its youth-focused fashion offer. The brand is taking a 9,585 sq ft space at the scheme, having previously traded at Silverburn, and will join a line-up that has recently added high street names including Bershka, Hollister, Pull&Bear and Stradivarius.
The deal has been agreed with Silverburn owner Henderson Park, with asset and property management led by Eurofund Group, which has now concluded more than 60 leasing transactions at the centre over the three years of its joint venture ownership. The new store also forms part of Footasylum’s wider physical expansion strategy, which includes upsized units in key regional destinations and a portfolio of around 60 sites nationwide.
Alberto Esguevillas, CEO UK retail at Eurofund Group, said: “Footasylum is a stand-out success story in the UK retail market, and we are pleased to see it return to Silverburn, where it is sure to be a welcome and popular new arrival.” He added that the signing “further strengthens Silverburn’s position as Scotland’s leading retail and leisure destination, particularly for fashion-conscious younger shoppers”.

Silverburn has reported record footfall for the second year running, attracting more than 15 million visits in 2024 and delivering double-digit sales growth, which the landlord attributes in part to a refreshed brand mix and a focus on experience-led retail. Over the same period, Henderson Park and Eurofund have secured over 60 new deals, significantly enhancing the centre’s status in the Scottish retail hierarchy.
For Footasylum, the larger multi-level unit at Silverburn will allow the retailer to showcase a broader range of trainer and athleisure brands, as well as support its omnichannel services, including click-and-collect and ship-from-store. The move comes on the back of record 2024 financial results for the retailer, which reported positive revenue growth and a 188% jump in profits, underlining ongoing demand for its mix of sportswear and street fashion.
Silverburn general manager David Pierotti said: “We’re pleased to welcome back Footasylum and see it expand with a significantly larger unit in Silverburn.” “Its return adds another great dynamic to our already diverse mix of fashion brands and is another strong step forward in our ongoing commitment to offer the very best retail and leisure experience to our guests,” he added.
