THE £9m Cat A fit out of 55 Douglas Street, Glasgow has been handed over by Clark Contracts to Signal Capital.

The fit out of the 85,400sq ft, 7 storey building has created additional office space offering a variety of floorplates, ranging from 6,000 to 16,000sq ft. and a new modern reception area.

A 10,000sq ft extension was completed to the front of the building to increase the footprint which included external façade alterations.

The reception area was remodelled as part of the extension and now features a bespoke reception desk created by Clark Contracts’ Manufactured Joinery Division, who also fabricated concave timber panelling, feature wall panels and timber ceiling panels.

Upgrades of the shower rooms, lift lobbies and toilet facilities have also been completed and the basement features cycle storage and changing facilities with a dedicated entrance on Cadogan Street.

Gerry Cummins, Director, Clark Contracts, said “We have enjoyed working with the team on this complex project for Signal Capital. The extension has modernised the front of the building and internal fit out works have created a fantastic space for future occupants”
