MAISON SPORT, a leading online platform connecting ski enthusiasts with professional instructors, has successfully concluded a significant £3.1 million investment round. The funding, secured through a private investment firm and angel investors, positions Maison Sport as a trailblazer in the ski tech industry, aligning with its mission to transform how ski instructors and ski schools operate globally.

This latest capital injection will play a pivotal role in expanding Maison Sport’s reach, advancing its platform’s technological capabilities, and solidifying its status as the preferred platform for ski instructors and winter sports enthusiasts. The funding comes at a time when holiday experiences take centre stage, with a preview of Tripadvisor’s 2024 study on the Experience of Travel indicating that 67% of surveyed travellers across seven key markets prioritise experiences over material possessions.

Notable investors in Maison Sport’s previous funding rounds include Gareth Williams, Co-Founder of Skyscanner, and Kevin Byrne, the visionary Founder and owner of Checkatrade. Gareth Williams, renowned for scaling successful tech ventures, highlights the platform’s potential for growth, emphasising the importance of meaningful experiences in leisure activities.

Kevin Byrne, known for transforming industries through innovative solutions, praises Maison Sport’s ambition and commitment to excellence. He recognizes the platform’s impact on reshaping the landscape of ski instruction through trusted reviews and a culture of transparency within the skiing community.

Co-Founder and CEO Nick Robinson expresses gratitude for the support from both new and existing investors. Robinson outlines Maison Sport’s ambitious goal of becoming the largest seller of snow sports activities worldwide within the next five years. The investment not only validates Maison Sport’s mission but also empowers the platform to scale operations and deliver more value to instructors and holidaymakers.

British Alpine Ski Racer and Maison Sport ambassador, Charlie Raposo, commends Maison Sport for creating a more accessible and welcoming space for skiers and snowboarders. He anticipates Maison Sport’s continued growth into new markets, establishing itself as a dominant force in global ski instruction.

Presently available in over 400 resorts across France, Switzerland, Italy, and Austria, Maison Sport boasts a network of over 1,300 trusted, qualified instructors. The recent investment positions Maison Sport to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of winter sports instruction worldwide.
