Live music, local food and drink and stunning countryside will combine at this year’s Kingennie Fest, which will raise money to support The Archie Foundation.
Forbes of Kingennie Countryside Resort, an independent family-owned destination close to Dundee, is to host the festival tomorrow, Saturday, August 23.
The event will bring together talented local musicians and generous hospitality, while giving back to a local cause.
For every ticket purchased, £2 will be donated to The Archie Foundation to fund its work supporting babies, children and families across Tayside, including Tayside Children’s Hospital at Ninewells and Glenlaw House in Dundee.
Guests can look forward to a day of intimate acoustic performances and vibrant acts, all while enjoying the beauty of the resort’s tranquil grounds over locally crafted gins, beers and cocktails.
“Kingennie Fest isn’t just a celebration of music – it’s a celebration of community and making memories with the people you love.” said Libby Sutherland, partner at Forbes of Kingennie. “As a family business we’re proud to bring together musicians, guests, and our local community in support of a cause that makes a real difference for local children and their families.”
The festival will feature a curated line-up of talented local musicians including singer and songwriter John Moncrieff and the TOTICO band, offering musical genres from rock, indie and soul.
Rebecca Duncan, business development and fundraising manager for The Archie Foundation in Tayside, said: “We are so grateful to Forbes of Kingennie for supporting The Archie Foundation and we look forward to a relaxing day of music and good company in the resort’s beautiful setting.
“Raising awareness of The Archie Foundation and the work it does to provide support for babies, children and families across Tayside and the wider north of Scotland, including bereavement counselling, is crucial to supporting fundraising as well as reaching those who need our help.”
The team from Archie will also be running a raffle at the event to raise additional funds.
Kingennie Fest runs from 12pm to 12am at Forbes of Kingennie, near Broughty Ferry, with indoor seating available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
