LOCKTON, the world’s largest privately held independent insurance broker, has appointed Saba Haran to join the Employee Benefits team as Senior Producer in Glasgow and support the development of their benefits offering in Scotland.

Saba was previously at Capita, where she spent the past 13 years spanning a number of relevant functions, from managing the DC Pension team, to leading the growth of the Scottish benefits business, and most recently looking after key clients across Capita Group as part of her role as Client Relationship Director.

Commenting on the appointment, Saba Haran says:

“I am looking forward to leveraging my experience and expertise to really help build out our employee benefits offering. Lockton have a really impressive market leading proposition, and together with the fantastic talent in this business already, I’ll be working to deliver even greater support to our clients. The attraction for me with Lockton was the sheer excellence this business demonstrates in its desire to provide the best customer experience.

“I have some real aspirations for growth in Scotland, a market that I feel the industry has often neglected and many have failed to gain real traction in. This is something that Lockton recognise and are committed to changing.”

Jon Green, Partner & Regional Head of Benefits at Lockton, comments:

“We are excited that Saba is able to join us at a time when we are seeing clients seeking to improve the value they get from their benefit programmes and deliver better support to their employees. Saba’s 26 years of experience across insured benefits, technology, pensions and communications is invaluable to the support we can provide to our clients both in Scotland and throughout the UK. Her appointment is reflective of our ambitious growth plans and desire to broaden our consulting services.”
