Local home care company encourages locals to ‘Be a Santa’ to a senior this Christmas

HOME Instead West Fife & Kinross are warming hearts this Christmas with its ‘Be a Santa’ campaign which supports senior members of the community who may feel isolated during the festive period. 

The local care company recognises that for many seniors this time of year will be difficult for many reasons. Home Instead aims to lift the Christmas spirit by gifting presents that have been donated by the public and local businesses, ensuring that they too feel the love this Christmas.

Adding to the festive spirit, the lovely children at Dalgety primary school have written Christmas cards which will be gifted to seniors in the community. This act of kindness will bring members of the community of different ages together when it truly matters the most.

Home Instead is calling on the local community to donate gifts. The team has collection boxes at several locations in Dalgety Bay – Zsa Zsa Zsu Balloons & Events, Ale & Pate Cafe, Crystalight Candles and Home Instead’s office at Dalgety Bay Business Centre. Members of the public can donate gifts until 16th December. 

Commenting on the Christmas campaign, owner of Home Instead West Fife & Kinross Rachel Doyle said, “Christmas can be a lonely time for older members of the community, so we understand the importance of supporting them at this time”.

“The gifts we receive will make a huge difference to older members of the community, reminding them that they are not alone. Here’s to festive success!”
