A PARTNER at legal firm Lindsays has maintained her status as Dundee’s only triple-accredited family lawyer.

Jennifer Gallagher has had her accreditation as a specialist in Child Law approved for a second spell by the Law Society of Scotland.

It adds to her accreditations in Family Law and Family Mediation, with records showing that she is the only lawyer working in the city to hold specialist status in all three disciplines.

Jennifer, a former chair of the Scottish family law professional body the Family Law Association who is also a Law Society of Scotland peer reviewer for Civil Legal Aid, said: “I am delighted to have my accreditation in Child Law continued.

“The law is evolving all the time. Specialist accreditations should give confidence to clients, and potential clients, that we are on top of those developments – and in the best possible position to advise them through what can often be complex cases during challenging times in their lives.”

The Law Society of Scotland’s specialist accreditation scheme recognises solicitors who have developed expert knowledge during their careers. Other family law solicitors working across Lindsays’ offices also hold a number of specialist accreditations.

Alison McKee, who heads the Family Law team at Lindsays, said: “I believe that the accreditations achieved by our team are valuable as they demonstrate the breadth of our specialisation.

“At Lindsays we take on-going professional development very seriously and are delighted that our team’s expertise is recognised in this way.”

Lindsays recently expanded its presence across Tayside through its merger with Miller Hendry, which has seen the firm add offices in Perth and Crieff to its portfolio, as well as increasing the size of its Dundee-based team.
