LOGISTICS and construction services company Malcolm Group is taking 67,000 sq ft of warehouse space at Westway Park in Renfrew in what is being described as the “largest lockdown industrial deal to be concluded in Scotland so far”.

The short-term lease deal between family-owned Malcolm Group, which is based less than three miles away at Linwood in Renfrewshire, and Westway Park owner Canmoor was completed within six days of the company’s viewing of the space.

The lease is for less than one year but there is an option for it to be extended.

Rob Large, Canmoor director, said: “We always adopt a practical and ‘can do’ approach and were able to provide the right product and terms to meet Malcolm’s key business requirements.”

Other occupiers at Westway include Doosan Babcock, AMG Group, JW Filshill, Malin Fabrication, the NHS and Strathclyde University.
