Ayrshire-based company Land Energy has been named winner of the prestigious Business Excellence Award at the Ayrshire Chamber Annual Dinner last week.

The award, sponsored by Donnini Apartments, LMA Architects, Prestwick Aerosystems and UKSE, recognises Land Energy’s ongoing commitment to achieving superior performance by aligning its strategy, people and processes to deliver greater value for customers, stakeholders and society, while continually improving and innovating.

David Bone, Communications Officer at Land Energy, said:

“It’s an amazing achievement to win the Business Excellence Award from the Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce, and we would like to congratulate the other nominees, Ailsa Reliability Solutions and Solutions on Demand Group, in what was a very competitive field.

This award belongs to everyone in the company, and particular thanks must go to our recently retired Business Excellence Lead, Reg Stewart, for all his hard work during his time with us.

We have now received a hat-trick of awards this year, including a Net Zero Innovation Award from the Confederation of Forest Industries and a Resilience Award from the Centre for Engineering, Education and Development (CeeD).

These accolades reflect the team’s commitment to continuous improvement, hard work and our continued leadership in sustainable fuel products throughout the UK.”

The 2026 Ayrshire Chamber Annual Dinner, held at Trump Turnberry and hosted by Scottish entrepreneur (and advisor to Lord Sugar on The Apprentice), Mike Soutar, is one of the highlights of the pan-Ayrshire business calendar, welcoming up to 500 business people from across the region and beyond.

Founded in 2006, Land Energy is now the UK’s largest producer of sustainable wood pellets and briquettes, supplying low-carbon renewable fuel to homes and businesses nationwide. The company also manufactures a range of sustainable products, including pizza pellets, cat litter, horse bedding and a new soil conditioner, Solivita.
