KPMG has appointed a new associate partner to lead its Private Enterprise Tax team in Central Scotland.

Based in Edinburgh, Philippa Sanderson joins the Scottish practice from KPMG’s North Region where she previously led the firm’s Sheffield office.

The appointment is part of a drive by the firm to bolster its Private Enterprise offering in Scotland, working with multi-generational family and private-equity backed businesses through to owner-managed and fast-growing start-ups.

Commenting on her appointment, Philippa said: “I’m incredibly excited about being in Scotland and playing such a key role with a firm that’s developed a first-class reputation in the country. The level of knowledge at KPMG in Scotland is second-to-none and I’m looking forward to bringing my own experience to the tax practice to assist clients with their growth strategies.”

Alan Turner, Head of Tax in Scotland at KPMG UK, said: “Tax touches on every aspect of Private Enterprise and Philippa’s experience in the field will be crucial in taking our offering to the next level in Scotland.

“We’re incredibly excited to welcome her to our team and we’re confident she’ll play a key role in providing invaluable assistance to our diverse client base.”
