KINGDOM Housing Association’s payroll team has been recognised with a Highly Commended Award at the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals Annual Excellence Awards.

The payroll awards ceremony is the only one of its kind in the UK and was established to recognise individuals and organisations who demonstrate payroll excellence and their positive impact on the UK economy.

In a highly contested group of finalists in the In-House Payroll Team of the Year category Vertas Group Limited emerged as winners. However the judges acknowledged the extremely close scoring and awarded Kingdom the Highly Commended Award.

Formed a little over a year ago, Kingdom’s in-house payroll team of Jacqui Hoskisson, Kerri Gell and Vicky Brand are responsible for a payroll of around 500 across the Kingdom Group.

Andrew Latto, Interim Director of HR said, “I’m extremely proud of Jacqui, Kerri, and Vicky in our payroll team. A little over a year ago, we set ourselves the aim of making the payroll function at Kingdom customer-centric, robust, and professional. The team has absolutely delivered on all of that while working towards and receiving their own individual payroll qualifications. It’s fantastic to have that recognised by the CIPP Excellence Award judges.”
