KINGDOM Housing Association has been shortlisted in the coveted Employer of the Year Award category at the Women in Housing and Housing Heroes Awards.

The Employer of the Year award celebrates organisations that provide an environment where individuals and teams can thrive. Organisations that invest in staff training and development, represent the communities they work with and demonstrate a clear culture of inclusion and innovation.

Andrew Latto, Kingdom’s Interim Director of HR said, “The Employer of the Year Award includes organisations from across the whole of the UK. Just to be shortlisted for this national award is an incredible achievement and I am hugely proud of the work that everyone at Kingdom does.

Our culture change programme and a focus on learning and development put us in a very strong position to deal with the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic and allowed us to support our staff through unprecedented challenges. We work hard to deliver the best possible outcomes for our people and they, in turn, deliver exceptional levels of service to our customers.”

Bill Banks, Kingdom Group Chief Executive said, “Being an Employer of Choice is a strategic objective for Kingdom. We believe our people are our most valuable asset without whom our outstanding contribution within the sector this year would not have been possible. Their passion, commitment and ‘can do’ attitude is rooted in their professionalism and reflects positively on Kingdom as an employer. It’s our goal for Kingdom to be a diverse, inclusive and welcoming organisation and being shortlisted in the Employer of the Year category shows our hard work on that is paying off.”

Bill added ‘’The management and staff implement and deliver on our strategy, however Kingdom has a very professional and supportive Board. The Board has developed and approved a strategy that allows our people to fully engage with our stakeholders and customers and the support provided by the Board has allowed numerous initiatives to be taken forward, which has significantly contributed to Kingdoms success over the years.”

For one year only the Women in Housing Awards will take place side by side with the Housing Heroes Awards as part of Housing 2021, the Chartered Institute of Housing’s annual conference and Europe’s leading housing festival.

The gala awards ceremony celebrates the leaders, innovators and changemakers across the housing sector, shining a light on the incredible work carried out by teams and individuals over the past 12 months, with winners being announced at the awards ceremony on 7 September at Emirates old Trafford, Manchester.
