A Kilmarnock aesthetics practitioner has been shortlisted for an international award celebrating excellence in the hair and beauty industry.
Aesthetics by Sandra, which operates from The Scottish Aesthetics Co. clinic on Portland Street, has been announced as a finalist in the Beauty Full Awards 2026 in the Aesthetic Practitioner of the Year category.
The Beauty Full Awards spotlight professionals around the world who prioritise patient safety, professionalism and natural results, with finalists selected for their high standards and innovation in aesthetic care.
Owner Sandra Mitchell, an NMC Registered Midwife, Independent Prescriber and Advanced Aesthetic Practitioner, specialises in non‑surgical aesthetic treatments designed to help clients feel confident while maintaining realistic results.
As a Health Improvement Scotland‑registered independent clinic, Aesthetics by Sandra offers evidence‑based practice and personalised care as the foundation of every treatment.
The shortlisting follows a year of growth for the business, including the launch of its rebranded clinic identity and an expanded menu of treatments, alongside ongoing education for clients on safe aesthetic practice.
Sandra said that making the finals carries particular significance after more than two decades working in healthcare.
In Case You Missed It:
“Being named a finalist means so much to me,” she explained. “After spending over 20 years caring for women as an NHS Midwife before moving into aesthetics full time, my focus has always been helping people feel confident while putting safety first.”
The judging panel commented that only clinics demonstrating exceptional quality, innovation and dedication are invited to the finals, noting that Aesthetics by Sandra met the high standards required for recognition.
Winners will be revealed at a ceremony in September 2026, where Aesthetics by Sandra will discover whether it has secured the title.
