Scotland’s largest independent accountancy and business advisory firm, Johnston Carmichael, has appointed a Senior Manager to join its growing team based in Dundee.

Kirsty Yuill, who has over 12 years of experience, joins the firm’s recently opened Dundee office from Mazars LLP, where she managed a team of 10 and provided business support to over 350 clients.

Kirsty will be responsible for growing Johnston Carmichael’s client base in Dundee, focusing on owner-managed businesses and SMEs. Kirsty will advise on streamlining finances, developing operations and driving efficiency through the use of technology, helping to give business owners more time and better quality information to enable them to focus on the areas of their business that are most important to them.

Kirsty said: “I’m thrilled to be joining the Johnston Carmichael team in Dundee. It’s an exciting time for the city which is a new home for me but it’s also home to some fantastic organisations and I am looking forward to helping them reach their full potential. Johnston Carmichael has an excellent reputation in offering business advisory services to businesses across a range of sectors and I’m excited to work with both existing and new clients alike.

Kirsty added: “Our profession is going through an unparalleled period of change and Johnston Carmichael is committed to embracing technology, to allow us to improve the information available to clients and enable our advisers to focus their time where it counts – advising clients. I’m looking forward to working with colleagues in developing new, innovative ways of working that cement the firm as a market leader in the accountancy and business advisory profession.”

Jenn Stewart, restructuring director and head of the Dundee office, said: “We’re delighted to have Kirsty join our team in Dundee. Her vast experience will undoubtedly aid in continuing to establish the firm’s presence in the city.”
