THE Scottish Parliament’s Local Government, Housing and Planning Committee have today published the 312 responses received to a recent public consultation on the Scottish Government’s Housing (Scotland) Bill.

The consultation received responses from a range of organisation including Shelter Scotland, Citizens Advice Scotland, Homes for Scotland, the Scottish Association of Landlords, the Scottish Trades Union Congress, Living Rent as well as from a range of individuals, businesses, local authorities and other landlord and tenant stakeholder organisations.

Publication of the responses comes ahead of the Committee starting to take oral evidence on the Bill, with the Scottish Government Bill Team and Rent Service Scotland due to appear before the Committee tomorrow morning. The full agenda and papers for that meeting can be found on-line here.

In the lead up to the summer recess, the Committee is due to take further evidence from stakeholders on the Housing (Scotland) Bill on the 11th, 18th and 25th June before drafting a Stage 1 report in the Autumn.
