Ark Estates, a prominent Highland-based property investment and development company, has recently acquired two significant properties at the Teaninich Industrial Estate in Alness. The company announced yesterday that it has purchased Ardroy House and Culcraggie House from BT.

At present, the 9,367 sq ft Ardroy House is undergoing renovations to be included in the Ark Estates portfolio for rental purposes, while Culgraggie House is poised to ensure the longevity of the local youth organization, Fyrish Gymnastics Club. Situated just off the A9 trunk road, Ardroy House is a single-storey detached structure made of a steel frame, featuring mainly block infill walls and a pitched metal-clad roof.

The acquisition of these properties marks another milestone for Ark Estates, which recently celebrated its 20th anniversary as a developer and owner of a diverse portfolio of high-quality, climate-conscious retail, commercial, industrial, and residential properties across Scotland.

Willie Gray, the head of Ark Estates and a former Dingwall Academy pupil, has been leading the company’s expansion efforts. He said: “We are anticipating a high level of interest in Ardroy House and it’s a privilege to be able to secure the future of Fyrish Gymnastics Club at Culcraggie House.”

The newly acquired Ardroy House is described as “a modern single storey detached building of steel frame construction with predominantly block infills walls.” The property benefits from on-site car parking and occupies a site area of approximately 0.80 hectares (1.97 acres).

This latest acquisition follows a series of successful projects by Ark Estates, including the development of residential properties in Dingwall and Inverness, as well as commercial ventures such as the construction of a Scottish distribution and training hub for global wind energy company ENERCON.

The purchase of these properties in Alness demonstrates Ark Estates’ continued commitment to investing in the Highland region and its industrial infrastructure. As the company expands its portfolio, it is likely to play an increasingly significant role in shaping the local property landscape and contributing to economic development in the area.
