Golfers from clubs throughout the Highlands will be teeing-up in a “Champion of Champions” competition being held at the Kings Club in Inverness.
“Golf Highland” is inviting their members to register their current men’s and women’s champions for the all-star event for the Willie MacKay Cup on Sunday, March 29.
And fundraising on the day will benefit the Highland Hospice.
“This is the second year of the competition, and we are delighted with the support we are enjoying from the Kings Club, which is a superb venue, and general manager Graham Ramsay,” said Neil Hampton, chair of the Golf Highland cooperative, which includes community clubs and renowned courses at Royal Dornoch, Nairn and Cabot Highlands.
“The only cost to our member clubs for sending their champions to participate in this region-wide, prestigious event is a modest fee to cover the cost of breakfast and lunch.
“We are aiming to surpass the £300-plus sum raised last year through the raffle and other fundraising activities for the Highland Hospice.”
Kings Club, just six years old, has been shortlisted among three contenders for “Club of the Year” in the 2026 Scottish Golf Awards.

Kings Club joins Harburn GC and Peebles GC on the shortlist for “Club of the Year” at the Scottish Golf dinner being held in Glasgow on March 27.
