Hanya Partners, a management consultancy specialising in supplier performance and part of the Taranata Group, has appointed a new managing partner – seasoned procurement practitioner, Paul Gaffney.
Paul replaces company founder Martin Ewart, who was recently appointed the chief executive of Hanya Partners parent company, Taranata Group.
Paul joins the company from Cape Glen Advisory where he held the role of principal and led the company’s business development and delivery team. Paul has over 25 years’ experience in overseeing complex IT arrangements through the lifecycle of sourcing, selection, contracting, managing and exiting relationships. The majority of Paul’s career has been focused in the financial services sector but has also been seen him involved in leading public sector procurement projects.
Paul is not new to Hanya Partners, having worked with the company as an associate on a consultancy basis since 2015. During this time, he was responsible for delivering significant projects in the UK, US and the Netherlands. In his new role, Paul will be responsible for overseeing the existing client base and growing the business presence further.
Commenting on Paul’s appointment, Martin Ewart, chief executive of Taranata Group said: “This is the first step in building the next chapter of our consulting business. We are delighted to secure Paul to lead Hanya Partners. Sourcing and supplier management is a growing discipline, and Paul’s experience and market credibility are a great match for us as Hanya evolves under his leadership. Paul offers deep insight and his approach is meticulous in all of the work he does; it is something that our clients and our team really value.”
Paul Gaffney commented: “Having worked with Hanya Partners for a number of years, I am delighted to be able to continue my journey with the company at the helm. It is an exciting time for us as a business following the acquisition by Taranata Group last month and I relish the opportunity to build our presence more across both Edinburgh and London. I am a strong believer in optimising relationships between clients and suppliers to drive the best outcomes and this will be my focus for the business over the coming months and years.”
Paul will be based in Hanya Partners Edinburgh office and report into Martin Ewart.
