A growing Perth home improvement firm has opened a new division as it continues its expansion.

Re Nu – which has already created seven new jobs this year in its kitchens and bathrooms business – has opened Nu Drainage in response to increasing demand from clients across Perthshire, Dundee and Fife.

The new business provides domestic and commercial drainage services – including emergency repairs, new installations, high pressure jetting and water mains leak detection.

Re Nu co-director Niall Laughland said the firm was continuing to respond to customer demand after winning major commercial contracts – including a refit of the prestigious Birkhill Castle – over the past 12 months.

He said: “We are delighted to expand our business in this way and we hope to be able to continue to explore new avenues and continue to create good new jobs in the Perthshire community as we have over the past few years.

“Re Nu has a reputation for high quality workmanship and top quality products – and that is something Nu Drainage will certainly be carrying forward.”

Co-director Craig Smith added: “We have taken on seven new staff this year, including creating new apprenticeships working alongside our installation teams across our kitchen and bathroom teams.

“That is something that is incredibly important to us – to provide opportunities in the local area.

“We think that is really important and this expansion allows us to provide a local service from a local base in an area of demand that is underserved in Perthshire.”

Scott Henichen, who is heading up Nu Drainage, said: “I’m delighted to have joined the Re Nu team and look forward to growing this area of the business as we move forward.”
