A Scottish charity which supports people affected by trauma is marking its 10th anniversary this year with a series of events across 2026.
Glasgow-based Thriving Survivors – founded in 2016 by Ashley Scotland – is celebrating a decade of work supporting trauma survivors, and helping shape more trauma-informed services across Scotland.
To mark the milestone, the organisation has launched “10 in 10” – a programme of ten events and activities taking place throughout the year. The series will bring together survivors, volunteers, staff, partners and supporters to reflect on the past decade and look ahead to the future.
The first event will take place in Glasgow on 25 March, at the charity’s headquarters, officially kicking off the anniversary celebrations and will bring together survivors, staff, board members and supporters to share stories and reflect on the charity’s journey over the past ten years. The event will focus on recognising the people and partnerships that have helped the organisation grow, while also setting the tone for the work still to come.
Thriving Survivors founder and CEO Ashley Scotland said: “We’re so proud to have spent the past ten years helping individuals navigate trauma while also contributing to national conversations around survivor leadership, trauma-informed practice and systemic change.

Ten years on, and the our mission remains to ensure that survivors are heard, valued and supported, and that services across Scotland act and respond with compassion, accountability and informed practice.”
Over the past decade Thriving Survivors – which was founded through lived experience – has supported people across Scotland, built partnerships across sectors and helped strengthen the role of lived experience in shaping services and support systems.
The 10 in 10 series will include a mix of reflective, community-focused and outward-facing events designed to bring people together and highlight the importance of survivor-led approaches.
Throughout the campaign, the organisation hopes to celebrate ten years of survivor-led impact while further strengthening relationships across communities and sectors as well as build support for the next decade of Thriving Survivors.
