Glasgow Airport has marked the launch of Eurowings’ new direct service to Hanover, with the inaugural flight departing on Monday 29 June 2026.
The seasonal route signals the return of Eurowings to Glasgow for the first time since 2019. Operated by the Lufthansa Group carrier, the service will run three times weekly on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays through to 23 August 2026.
The new connection offers Scottish passengers direct access to the capital of Lower Saxony, while also strengthening inbound links from Germany, one of Scotland’s most significant tourism markets.
Hanover is widely regarded as a major cultural and economic centre, known for its historic old town, extensive green spaces and internationally recognised trade fairs, making it an attractive destination for both leisure and business travellers.
A celebratory send-off at Glasgow Airport marked the inaugural departure, underlining continued growth in international connectivity and the strengthening partnership between AGS Airports and Eurowings.
The flight schedule is as follows:
- Monday: HAJ–GLA 06:50 → 07:45 | GLA–HAJ 08:25 → 11:10
- Thursday: HAJ–GLA 19:00 → 19:55 | GLA–HAJ 20:35 → 23:20
- Sunday: HAJ–GLA 13:25 → 14:20 | GLA–HAJ 15:00 → 17:45
