Full-service law firm Gilson Gray has promoted two senior lawyers to partner in a move that underlines its continued growth across the UK. The promotions are designed to bolster the firm’s real estate and litigation capability at a time when it is expanding its presence and senior leadership bench.

Gregor Duthie has been promoted within the real estate team, while Stephen Forsyth has been named a partner in litigation. Both lawyers have been recognised for their contribution to the firm and their roles in supporting clients across their respective practice areas.

The latest round of promotions comes as Gilson Gray continues to build out its senior team and invest in key practice areas. The firm has described itself as one of the UK’s fastest-growing law firms, with recent appointments and internal promotions reflecting that wider momentum.

Gregor Duthie said: “In the ten years I have been with the firm Gilson Gray has built a strong reputation in the market as commercially savvy advisers. Becoming a partner allows me to champion the continued growth of both our Glasgow presence and the nationwide real estate team to guide our clients in achieving their goals.”

Stephen Forsyth added: “The firm has provided a strong platform to develop my practice in Dundee and across Scotland, and I look forward to continuing to support clients while contributing to the ongoing success of the award-winning litigation team.”

Glen Gilson, chairman and managing partner of Gilson Gray, said: “Stephen and Gregor are both highly regarded lawyers who embody the values and ambition of the firm. Their promotions are thoroughly deserved and reflect the strength and depth of talent we have across the business.

“This latest round of promotions demonstrates our commitment to investing in our people and supporting their progression as we continue to expand our presence and offering across Scotland and the UK.”

Gilson Gray’s latest announcement follows other recent senior hires and promotions across its UK offices, including further growth in London. The firm said the appointments are part of its broader strategy to strengthen service lines and support growth across the business.
