SCOTTISH law firm, Gillespie Macandrew, has appointed Karen Wooton as legal director in its Glasgow office.

Karen has 18 years’ experience in the private client and tax sector and will lead this arm of the firm’s business in the West.

Robert Graham-Campbell, CEO of Gillespie Macandrew, said: “Karen is an excellent addition to our team. Her experience in the private client market strengthens our practice across the entire business, and especially in Glasgow where we are committed to developing our services and building our client base.”

Karen said: “This is an exciting opportunity to increase Gillespie Macandrew’s presence in Glasgow and build on its excellent reputation. The private client & tax team is one of the strongest in Scotland and I’m looking forward to reinforcing this offering on the west coast.”

The appointment follows the Firm’s acquisition of Clyde & Co’s private client team last month and the transfer of Denton’s housebuilder team to the Glasgow office earlier in the year.  The firm moved to new, expanded Glasgow premises in February 2019.

Gillespie Macandrew’s teams in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perth serve clients from across Scotland and the UK, combining a personal approach with industry-leading expertise.
