GEG Capital acquires leading Scottish electrical and construction contractors

Inverness-based investment group, GEG Capital, has strengthened its electrical and construction portfolio with the acquisitions of two leading Highland contractors. Electrical contractor, Calder Electrical, and multi-trades construction company, Scotbuild.

These strategic acquisitions mark an exciting step for GEG Capital, enhancing its capabilities and service offerings within the construction and electrical sectors.

Both companies will continue to operate under their established brands, with ongoing support and resources from GEG Capital to drive growth and innovation.

Heading up the companies within the group is Daniel Cormack who has been appointed Managing Director of Calder Electrical and Scotbuild. Cormack has held various roles within the group over the last 15 years – and has graduated through the GEG Capital Emerging Leaders Programme.

Speaking about his new role, Cormack said: “I am honoured to take on this role and lead Calder Electrical and Scotbuild during such an exciting time for both companies.
