A FORT William-based consultancy firm has used Business Gateway’s one-to-one business support and funding advice to kickstart growth and expand its team.
Northern Light Consulting is a multi-disciplinary consulting business operating principally in the construction, engineering, aquaculture and food production sectors. The firm helps its clients to deliver new products, enter new markets and add value to their existing business. Since it was founded in 2013, Northern Light Consulting has secured new business valued in excess of £20 million for its clients and supported the delivery of over £100 million of construction works.
Although well-versed in providing strategic advice for its own clients, Northern Light Consulting approached Business Gateway Highland for one-to-one sessions from a business adviser and support to develop a growth action plan.
Business Gateway Highland also supported its successful application to the Highland Council’s Graduate Placement scheme. As a result, Northern Light Consulting received an additional member of staff to help the business to grow.
In order to accommodate the expanding team, Northern Light Consulting also moved into new offices in Fort William.
