Celeros Flow Technology (Celeros FT), a global lifecycle partner specializing in advanced flow control solutions utilizing pumps and valves, has invested in new test equipment, as well as a customer suite, at its plant in Cathcart, Glasgow, Scotland. The new facilities, designed with a focus on sustainability, will enable increased testing capacity to support future business growth, as well as provide a significantly improved customer experience.

“Celeros FT has a long and proud heritage with over 135 years of designing and manufacturing pump equipment in Cathcart with its ClydeUnion Pumps products,” explains Gary Walker, Director of Global Engineering Operations at Celeros FT.

“Through our investment, we have efficiently and environmentally repurposed redundant office space to create a new 660m2 customer and staff suite with improved customer monitoring of tests. This significant investment in equipment upgrade will allow us to focus on the future, fostering long-term business growth and building on our legacy continuing as a full lifecycle partner to our global customer base.”

The new customer suite delivers an improved customer experience for visitors to the site, with enhanced customer hosting facilities for witness testing.  Additionally, the new and improved staff working area will accommodate future team growth to support increased test demands.

The new test modules feature state-of-the-art testing equipment, including two new design-make-build portable test loops. These test loops provide increased flexibility and greater efficiency in test set-up, and tests can run in parallel — doubling Celeros FT’s test capacity. When the modules are run in parallel it also supports the testing of higher power units.

The investment supports testing of core ClydeUnion Pumps high-end technology products, for example the BB5 and BB3 multi-stage pumps for traditional market offerings including oil & gas, water, and power, as well as products supporting energy transition and security industries such as biofuels, nuclear, and carbon capture-transfer-storage.

Rich Morin, Chief Operating Officer for Celeros Flow Technology, adds: “This strategic investment in our Cathcart ClydeUnion Pumps facility is a reflection of our focus on Continuous Improvement, Quality of Product, and Customer delivery supporting our global customer base for Original Equipment and Aftermarket Spares, Services, and Upgrades”.
