FLEXITALLIC, the specialist manufacturer and supplier of engineered sealing products and services, has appointed Susan Roddan as its key account manager for Central Scotland.

With more than 20 years’ experience in the sector, she previously specialised in sales and account management, latterly as a branch manager in Scotland providing support to a range of industries.

She began her career as an expeditor with BP at the Grangemouth Oil Refinery, later becoming a junior buyer. After gaining the relevant qualification with the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supplies, she was promoted to buyer.

Susan said: “I’m pleased to join the market leader in the manufacture and supply of static sealing solutions. The role allows me to build upon my extensive experience in the sector and gives me an opportunity to progress my career.

“I’m looking forward to contributing to the continued success of Flexitallic in Central Scotland, an area I know particularly well, by ensuring it remains a trusted supplier of reliable and effective products and services.”

She will divide her time between Flexitallic’s 4,600 sq. ft premises at the Wellheads Industrial Estate in Aberdeen and working remotely.

Sam Bradley, UK Sales Director at Flexitallic, said: “Susan is an important addition to Flexitallic’s Scotland team and possesses the right blend of skills and knowledge to further strengthen our long-term strategic customer partnerships, as well as looking to develop additional opportunities.

“With outstanding customer service skills and an in-depth knowledge of the sealing sector, her appointment underlines this region’s importance to our business.”

Susan, a mother-of-two, was raised in the Falkirk area and enjoys spending her leisure time with family and friends. She remains an active member of her church and volunteers with a soup kitchen, and supports an Open Doors Project, where the homeless and vulnerable are invited for a meal and a chat.
