FEDERATED Hermes, a global investment manager, has announced the appointment of JLL as joint lettings agent at Skypark, Glasgow’s premier urban business hub.

Owned by Federated Hermes since 2018, Skypark is a vibrant 560,000 sq ft business campus, comprising six buildings, housing 30 businesses across the office, in the research, light manufacturing, retail and leisure sectors.

Skypark offers exceptional office space within a thriving business community, from large open plan floor plates to flexible fully fitted suites to suit any occupier, with panoramic views of Glasgow.

Following the completion of the newly refurbished space in Skypark buildings 1, 2 and 3, high quality office space ranging from 3,664 sq ft and up to a total of 10,500 sq ft is now available to let. There is also managed office space from 1,032 sq ft  immediately available to let.

The campus is located in Finnieston, Skypark and within walking distance of Glasgow City Centre, the West End, and the Waterfront. It sits adjacent to the OVO Hydro, BBC, SECC and New Media Quarter. It is accessible by train, bus and major motorway routes.

Commenting on JLL’s appointment, Stephen Ellis, Senior Investment Manager at Federated Hermes, said: “JLL is committed to delivering exceptional service and we are delighted to have the team on board with us in Glasgow. The agency’s involvement will enable us to continue to attract high calibre occupants and build on the existing success of Skypark. JLL’s knowledge of the market will allow Skypark to continue to develop its reputation as a go to place for excellent brands and top tier firms looking to grow within exceptionally high-quality office space.”

Skypark’s strategic lettings advisor Angela Higgins of Resonance Capital commented: “JLL’s appointment to our agency team increases our reach to occupiers who are looking for high quality, flexible and brilliantly located office space in Glasgow. As one of the UK’s top business cities, it has a workforce of one million and the second highest number of students in higher education outside of London. As a very proactive and supportive management team, we will ensure that Skypark will play a part in continuing to attract occupiers at all levels to Glasgow.”

Alex Mackay, Director of National Office Agency at JLL, said: “The energetic community is one of the iconic hallmarks of Skypark, offering occupiers fantastic events and an extensive provision of onsite amenities; this is now more important to occupiers than ever before and we are looking forward to adding to Skypark’s success.”
