A SCOTTISH fashion brand are aiming to take Scots style worldwide as they transform from boutique business to fashion design house.

Little Lies started in a Fife bedroom in 2015 – but has grown to become a well established brand with fans across the world ordering a huge range from their Perthshire HQ.

Previously a boutique buying in curated collections of stock from suppliers across the globe, Little Lies are now taking control of the design process and will this week launch their first collection designed almost entirely in house.

The firm – which has grown from its humble beginnings to employ more than 15 staff with a seven figure turnover – says they plan to expand their design team to showcase great Scottish design and artistry to their worldwide following.

The 70s inspired brand’s new collection is inspired by former Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks – who the brand describe as their “ultimate icon”.

Almost all of the pieces were designed and refined by an in-house team overseen by co-founder Jade Robertson before being manufactured by carefully selected and vetted suppliers exclusively for the Scottish retailer.

Jade said the brand’s ethos was to create clothes, accessories and homeware products that were “future vintage” – items to be loved and cherished for years to come, rather than “fast fashion” often associated with online retailers.

She said: “This Stevie Nicks collection is huge for us in so many ways – it is at the very core of our style but it represents so much more because these pieces are entirely by us, for our customers.

“Taking the creative process in house is so important to us – we can make sure the clothes we create fit our fans tastes and are inclusive to all body types as we can expand our size range far beyond what we could in the past.

“It also allows us to showcase the amazing talents of the creative staff we already have in house – and create opportunities for more Scottish creatives to join us in the future.

“Scotland can and should be a hub for great design and to be able to be part of that and take it to our following – which spans every corner of the world – is an honour.”

Little Lies started in 2015 from Jade’s bedroom at her then home in Kirkcaldy, Fife.

They expanded rapidly as their following – now numbering more than 200,000 on social media – grew across the world.

The firm now operates from a fully integrated creative, admin and warehouse space in Glencarse, Perthshire with more than 15 employees and more to come as they gear up for the busy festive season.
