Exterity, a provider of IP video, digital signage and guest experience technologies, has made two key hires in the Middle East, driven by continued business growth in the region.

Following the promotions of Eleuterio Fernandes to Vice President of Sales EMEA and Walid Tabet to Regional Sales Team Leader in 2018, Exterity has recruited Zaher Ajeeb, KSA Sales Manager and Victor Hasan, Regional Sales Manager – Hospitality, to support customers on the ground.

“Exterity entered the Middle Eastern market over ten years ago and our impact and success could not have been achieved without our hugely talented local team. They have an unrivalled wealth of experience and technical knowledge, which has fostered a real feeling of confidence and trust among our partners and customers,” said Colin Farquhar, CEO at Exterity, “The strength of our local team and technology enables us to work with some of the most recognisable names in the Middle East. I am looking forward to working with our new team members as we continue to grow in this exciting region.”

Zaher Ajeeb, KSA Sales Manager is based in Riyadh, and brings extensive local market and industry knowledge to Exterity and will support the company’s expanding hospitality and corporate business across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Victor Hasan, Regional Sales Manager, Hospitality, has joined Exterity’s Dubai team as a Regional Sales Manager, focused on the hospitality sector, bringing 17 years of solid experience in video technology and a huge market knowledge. Victor has worked in the UK with companies including BSksyB and Virgin Media and, over the past 5 years, Victor has worked in the Middle East region for CMT/MVI as Sales & Marketing Director in a number of IPTV /OTT  fields including telecom, hospitality, broadcast and satellite industries.

Eleuterio Fernandes, VP Sales EMEA at Exterity, commented: “The Middle East is an incredibly important region for Exterity; it’s a market that truly embraces technology across many sectors. Our customers are some of the biggest brands in hospitality, corporate and finance, transport, stadiums and education. For this reason we wanted to maximise our regional team with experienced employees who will ensure that our customers continue to enjoy the full benefits of our products and solutions. We are delighted to have Zaher, a widely respected and admired salesman in the industry, join us and support our involvement in major projects across Saudi Arabia. Victor is another important recruit who brings many years of video technology experience and impressive hospitality market knowledge.”

Exterity has also been steadily building its technical team supporting customers on the ground both pre and post sales, with the addition of Omar Abdel-Halim, Solutions Consultant, based in Saudi Arabia and Shrinil Kudalkar, Solutions Analyst in the UAE, to the technical solutions team managed by Laurent Genari-Conti. This expanding team, along with the larger sales team, led by Walid Tabet, Regional Sales Team Leader, prompted a recent move by Exterity into larger premises within the same building at Dubai Internet City.

Originally focused mainly in the oil and gas sector, Exterity has expanded into two of the Middle East’s most important industries, corporate & finance and hospitality. Today, the company is one of the main providers of enterprise-scale IP video, digital signage and guest experience technology across the entire region providing best-in-class IP-based video solutions to their customers.
