CHANNEL Finance is delighted to announce the expansion of its team with two key appointments; Business Partner & Commercial Director Donna Kerr, and Commercial Manager Nicole Stirrat.

Donna brings thirty years of leadership and business banking experience gained in the Financial Services Industry. She spent the last 2 years launching Specialist Property Bank Cambridge & Counties into Scotland and has extensive experience with funding transactions across commercial & residential investments, trading businesses to include healthcare, hotels and holiday lets. Her career path spans across the UK’s top banks including Lloyds Banking Group, Blackhorse Finance, Bank of Scotland, RBS and Clydesdale Bank.

Since the formation of the group in 2019, Channel Finance has been providing funding solutions to clients across the UK, so having Donna as a business partner who has a real passion for finance and delivering to exceed customer expectations will help to build on and enhance our client base and intermediary relationships.

As part of our growth plans, we have also recruited Nicole Stirrat as our Commercial Manager. Equally, Nicole has extensive banking experience working across a number of specialist lending areas and leading teams for Clydesdale Bank in Scotland and London. Her latest appointment over the last 2 years was with KPMG and she is therefore an absolute asset to the business as we expand our footprint across the UK.

Donna Kerr said:

“I have known for some time that there was a huge gap in the market for a commercial brokerage that offered the old-fashioned type of relationship similar to those clients had with their banks. The ability to pick up the phone to the same person who knows their business and aspirations, has a unique passion for finance, and a desire to help find the most appropriate solutions. My goal is to create a truly unique service going above and beyond to prepare complex credit applications for lenders, demystify and simplify finance for our clients and, act for them as a conduit between a multitude of mainstream and specialist funding partners to find the most appropriate solutions, rates, and terms. Not only this but a full service offering that nurtures the transactions with all the relevant stakeholders from the banks, lawyers and valuers from inception to completion.”

Michael Savage, Founder of Channel Finance Group stated: “

Having worked with Donna on a number of complex transactions for Channel Finance clients over the years, I had first-hand experience of the exceptional service she provided. I was truly delighted when she approached me to discuss the opportunity to form a partnership. It was evident that our aspirations with offering clients a 1st class bespoke service bringing the old-fashioned bank manager concept to the brokerage aligned with my vision and this cemented our negotiations. I look forward to the journey ahead with Donna as we grow our team and deliver a truly exceptional experience creating real value for our clients.”
