Entrepreneurial Scotland has launched the next iteration of The Exchange, Powered by the Entrepreneurial Scotland Foundation, at a charity lunch event with a high-profile guest list.  

Hosted at the suitably named The Exchange venue at Royal Exchange Square, guests were treated to an afternoon of connection, celebrating the power and potential of Scotland’s entrepreneurial community.  

Sean McGrath, CEO of Entrepreneurial Scotland, delivered opening remarks and two keynote speeches were presented by Lord Haughey OBE, Chairman of City Holdings and Bob Keiller CBE.

A fantastic £30,000 was raised in the live charity auction, led by Scottish broadcaster and auctioneer Natasha Raskin Sharp, with the most popular items being an exclusive golf and lunch experience at St Andrews with Andy Lothian and two rare casks of whisky not available on the open market. 

The event was raising critical funds for the charity’s ongoing work to support people in Scotland with an entrepreneurial mindset fuel growth and prosperity for us all – from the successful scholars’ programme through to the new exchange membership package.

Those in attendance also commented on the value of being able to rub shoulders with the likes of the Easdale brothers, Sandy and James, Ian Ritchie CBE, Willie Watt and Derek Pierce. 

Sean McGrath, CEO of Entrepreneurial Scotland, said: “The Exchange is a transformative peer support group for ambitious leaders, based on three pillars, that no one does it alone, leaders learn from leaders and that your network is your net worth.

“We welcome applications from ambitious business leaders across Scotland to join us and take part in the new programme, which delivers cohorts of ‘boards’ who support each other with the opportunities and challenges of growing a business.”
