ADVANCE Grid Solutions has appointed Ross Main to the role of Director of Engineering.

A graduate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Ross has held senior engineering positions specialising in renewable generation, grid connections and transmission / distribution systems.

In his new post, Ross will lead a team delivering large-scale battery energy storage and solar PV projects.

A division of groundworks specialists, Advance Construction, Advance Grid Solutions provides engineering, procurement and construction services to support the delivery of battery energy storage and solar PV systems. The company recently completed the Camilla project, a 50MW battery energy storage site in Fife, which is one of the largest in Scotland.

Craig Little, Managing Director of Advance Grid Solutions said: “The company is rapidly growing and to have Ross’ expertise on board is instrumental in managing the complexities that can often arise when delivering large scale renewable projects.”

Based in Bellshill, Lanarkshire, Advance Grid Solutions provides comprehensive civil, electrical and mechanical balance of plant services for UK developers and asset owners.Specialising in the design, procurement and construction of large-scale renewable energy projects, services extend to distribution and transmission voltage levels with an ICP capability up to 132kV.
