The Enchanted Forest has announced a record-breaking £134,044 in community funding for 2026, supporting 36 organisations and projects across Highland Perthshire through its annual Community Fund programme.
Awarded during the event’s landmark 25th anniversary year, the total represents the largest sum distributed by the charity to date, underlining the continued impact of Scotland’s award-winning sound and light show beyond its immersive woodland setting.
More than 50 applications were submitted this year, spanning a wide range of sectors including youth services, sport, arts, wellbeing, accessibility, climate action, community facilities and anti-poverty initiatives. Following assessment by Trustees, 36 groups were selected to receive funding.
Among the largest individual awards were £10,000 grants to both Pitlochry Baptist Church SCIO and Moulin Kirk Trust, alongside £9,650 for Pitlochry Town Hall. Other notable recipients include Mindspace Limited, Social Flock and Pitlochry Community Action Trust, each awarded £7,000.
Funded projects cover a diverse mix of initiatives, from youth groups and disability sport to environmental programmes, cultural festivals, village halls and mental health support services. The total figure includes £9,700 allocated via a discretionary fund, which remains open to applications throughout the year.
For the first time, applications were assessed using a new scoring framework focusing on quality, need, impact, feasibility and local proximity. The introduction of a proximity score ensured that projects delivering direct benefit to Highland Perthshire communities, particularly those based in Pitlochry, were strongly represented.
