Edinburgh Gin’s latest full-strength offering, Rhubarb & Ginger Gin, has taken home gold at this year’s prestigious International Wine & Spirit Competition.

The coveted award comes just three months since the launch of Edinburgh Gin’s first full-strength flavoured gin. The spirit was praised for its use of natural flavours to create a rich aroma with a hint of spice.

Edinburgh Gin was the first to bring rhubarb & ginger to the category in 2014, with the launch of the distiller’s no.1 best-selling Rhubarb & Ginger Gin Liqueur.

In addition, the brand claimed awards across various categories including silver for its London dry-style Edinburgh Gin Classic and bronze for Edinburgh Gin Seaside.

Neil Boyd, UK Managing Director of Ian Macleod Distillers, said:

“To receive such notable awards on a global stage cements Edinburgh Gin as a market innovator in flavour. Taking home gold so soon for our new Rhubarb & Ginger Gin is testament to it being one of the most loved flavour profiles in the category.

“Looking to the future, we have further exciting developments in full-strength flavoured gin that will combine the juniper-forward profile of a London dry with natural flavour profiles; much like our award-winning Rhubarb & Ginger Gin.”
