NATIONAL law firm TLT has supported renewable energy infrastructure firm Field on its acquisition of 200MWh Scottish Holmston and Drum Farm battery energy storage sites from RES.
RES is the world’s largest independent renewable energy company with 40 years of experience delivering global renewable energy solutions.
The Holmston and Drum Farm sites, located in Ayr (South Ayrshire) and Keith (Moray), have a combined capacity of 100MW/200MWh. Both sites will contribute a range of services to the grid, including balancing electricity supply and demand across the grid.
Field intends to bring an additional 410 MWh of battery sites online in the next two years, now including this acquisition, meaning the firm has over 4.5 GWh of projects in development or in exclusivity with partners.
