Edinburgh Airport may experience operational challenges during the festive period due to planned industrial action.
Workers, including firefighters and airside operations staff, have announced their intention to strike over pay and working conditions.
The industrial action is scheduled to commence on 22 December and continue through Boxing Day, potentially affecting travel plans for numerous passengers during this busy holiday season.
Unite, the union representing the workers, has indicated that the strike could lead to significant disruption if a resolution is not reached.
Sharon Graham, Unite general secretary said: “North Air is a highly profitable company that can fully afford to make a fair offer to our members but has refused to do so.”
Airport management is actively working to minimise potential impacts and has called for renewed negotiations between all parties involved.
Travellers are advised to stay informed about their flight status and prepare for possible schedule adjustments during this period of uncertainty at Edinburgh Airport.
