AN ECO-FRIENDLY supplies firm has achieved significant business growth and increased brand awareness thanks to expert help and advice from Business Gateway.

Based in Kirkintilloch, Everything Hygiene is an environmentally friendly supplies company that specialises in sustainable products, from recycled toilet tissue and kitchen roll to catering aprons, chemical-free cleaning products and personal protective equipment.

After launching in October 2018, Everything Hygiene worked closely with Business Gateway to receive a wide range of start-up support that included one-to-one sessions with a business adviser, marketing, funding and premises assistance, advice on creating a business plan and assistance with networking opportunities.

Everything Hygiene also benefited from expert consultancy support on administration and business planning, which was instrumental in helping the business to obtain bank working capital funding.

Through valuable networking groups, and after organising an opening ceremony and press release for the new retail store in Kirkintilloch, Business Gateway has also been influential in boosting the profile and increasing regional awareness of Everything Hygiene.

After gaining support from Business Gateway, the success of Everything Hygiene has continued after being named the Start-Up Business of the Year at the East Dunbartonshire Business Awards 2019.

Des Stevenson, Director of Everything Hygiene said: “Working closely with Business Gateway has been fantastic for the business, allowing us to expand at a much faster rate than if we had been without support.

“From helping to widen our professional network to receiving much-needed consultancy support, which was a crucial factor in helping us attain capital funding, the varied support we have received has given us the confidence and skills needed to take our business to new heights.”

Charlie Morton, business adviser at Business Gateway East Dunbartonshire commented: “Everything Hygiene’s directors were both fully aware of the business’s potential, however, they were missing skills and expertise in specific areas to ensure that the administration of the business was efficient.

“By providing a bespoke programme of support for Everything Hygiene, combining start-up guidance with expert support in business planning, Business Gateway was able to help them obtain crucial funding, focus on business development and widen their network of local contacts.”
