North East Scotland haulage specialist to launch devan and load-and-lash services at strategic
Thames Gateway port in January 2026
ABERDEEN, Scotland, 05 January 2026 – Dyce Carriers Ltd, a North East Scotland-based
haulage and logistics specialist, today announced the opening of a new operational facility
at London Gateway, launching in January 2026. This strategic expansion reinforces the
company’s commitment to delivering comprehensive Out of Gauge (OOG) cargo handling
services across the UK’s key port infrastructure.
The new London Gateway depot will mirror the comprehensive service offering currently
provided at Dyce Carriers’ established Grangemouth facility, creating a dual-hub operation
serving customers throughout the United Kingdom. Both sites will specialise in Out of
Gauge lashing, with dedicated teams equipped to handle all types of OOG cargo with
precision and care.
At London Gateway, Dyce Carriers will offer a full suite of services including crane lifts,
container devanning, load and lash operations, and storage facilities. The company will also
provide professional surveyor services on request at both the London Gateway and
Grangemouth locations, ensuring customers receive expert support throughout the entire
logistics chain.
Central to this expansion is Dyce Carriers’ “one stop shop” approach, streamlining
operations for clients requiring haulage, devanning, and Load and Lash Services (LLS) across
both locations. Customers will benefit from consistent service standards, unified
communication channels, and the same trusted points of contact regardless of facility.
“This expansion represents a significant milestone in our development and demonstrates
our ongoing commitment to meeting our customers’ evolving needs,” said Richard
Workman, Business Development Manager. “By establishing our presence at London
Gateway, we’re positioning ourselves to provide the same exceptional service our clients
have come to expect from our Grangemouth operation, but with greater geographic reach
and flexibility.”
Jason and Candie Moir, Directors, explained the strategic thinking behind the expansion:
“When the Grangemouth depot was established in 2019, it marked diversification from the
road haulage business we were traditionally accustomed to. The team at Grangemouth has
worked tirelessly, alongside our haulage arm, to develop a facility that offers both our long-
standing and new customers a complete logistics solution.
“Always looking ahead, we identified a growing volume of work coming through London
Gateway. As a result, the decision was made to expand our presence in that area, ensuring
we continue to provide the high level of service our customers require and expect from Dyce Carriers Ltd. As Directors, we are excited about the future of the company and confident in the direction we are heading.”
All bookings will continue to be managed through established contact points: telephone
01324 357000 and email [email protected]. Upon booking, customers
receive full documentation including container and seal numbers, followed by photographic
evidence of loaded cargo. Dyce Carriers also manages quayside container and flatrack
bookings and arranges empty container releases.
With UK-wide haulage capabilities connecting both hubs, Dyce Carriers is positioned to
offer unparalleled flexibility for customers requiring specialist OOG handling, whether cargo
enters through Scotland’s central belt or via the Thames Gateway.
