BC Technologies, the Dunoon-based IT services specialist, is targeting significant long-term growth following a successful partnership with Sales Geek Scotland that has transformed its sales capability and supported a sharp increase in revenue.

The company, which has grown turnover from £3m. to £3.75m. last year and is now approaching £5m., has ambitions to expand further across Scotland and beyond.

Sales Geek Scotland, led by co-director Peter Barclay, has played a central role in this progress, working closely with BC Technologies’ leadership team to strengthen sales processes, develop internal talent and introduce new systems to support sustainable growth.

Peter said: “BC Technologies is a fantastic example of a business with deep technical expertise, strong values and huge growth potential. Our role has been to help unlock that potential by putting the right sales structure, processes and leadership in place.

“The team has embraced the changes, and the results speak for themselves. This is a business with real momentum and a clear vision for the future.”

The relationship began following an introduction at Inverclyde Chamber of Commerce, leading to a series of discovery sessions in December 2024. By March 2025, Peter had taken on the role of fractional sales director within the business.

A key focus of the partnership has been developing internal capability, particularly through coaching sales-focused team members who have been progressing into strategic sales roles and are now generating new business opportunities consistently.

BC Technologies’ Rachel Wallace said: “Working with Sales Geek has made a significant difference to how we approach sales. Peter has helped us put structure and clarity around our processes, while also developing our people.

“The progress made by our lead salesperson is a great example of what can be achieved with the right coaching and support, and this individual is now a key part of our growth plans.”

The collaboration has also seen the implementation of a new customer relationship management (CRM) system, alongside tools that provide valuable operational data, helping the business to better understand customer needs and identify opportunities.

BC Technologies’ broader growth strategy includes expanding its footprint across the Central Belt, increasing its presence in the north of Scotland and continuing to invest in apprenticeships and internal development programmes.

The business is also strengthening its credentials in areas such as cyber security and compliance, with plans to secure additional accreditations and explore opportunities within the defence sector.

Peter added: “This is exactly the kind of business we love working with:  ambitious, values-driven and committed to doing things the right way. We’re proud to be part of its journey.”
