Lindsays colleagues hit the streets to raise money for The Archie Foundation

A group of tartan-clad legal professionals hit the streets to support a remarkable children’s charity.

An eight-strong team from the Dundee office of leading independent legal firm Lindsays strode out for 20 miles in the city’s Kiltwalk Mighty Stride to raise money for The Archie Foundation in Tayside.

They were among thousands of people who supported Sunday’s event, walking from the West Sands in St Andrews to Slessor Gardens in Dundee.

And, with purpose and pride, the colleagues said the fundraiser was both physically challenging and emotionally rewarding.

Lawyer Rachel High, an Associate with Lindsays in Dundee, said: “The atmosphere was incredible, and it was great to see so many people out supporting different causes.

“Knowing we were doing it for such an important charity kept us going, even when our legs were starting to tire.”

The Lindsays team is on course to raise more than £2,000 and donations can still be made via justgiving.com/page/lindsayskiltwalk

The Archie Foundation plays a vital role in making hospital environments across North Scotland more child-friendly and accessible. They also provide bereavement support for young people, fund specialist medical equipment, and offer emergency financial assistance to families in crisis.

Rebecca Duncan, the charity’s Fundraising Manager, said: “Having the team at Lindsays support The Archie Foundation Tayside in the Kiltwalk means so much to us.

“Not only does it raise vital funds, but it helps spread awareness of the work we do to make a difficult time that little bit easier for children and their families.”

Beyond the walk, Lindsays is continuing work with The Archie Foundation, whose team will visit its Dundee office to deliver child bereavement awareness training to its Private Client team, who advise people on their personal legal affairs, helping them to better support clients experiencing loss.

Chris Todd, a Partner who heads up Lindsays’ Dundee office, also took part in the Kiltwalk.

He said: “It was great fun. Knowing that we were taking part for such an incredibly worthwhile cause really motivated us.

“We’re always proud of our people for going the extra mile – or, in this case, 20 of them – to support the communities we are part of.”
