LOCAL businesses in Dundee are urged to rally behind Scotland’s challenging Cateran Yomp, an endurance event supporting the Army Benevolent Fund. Launched in 2011, the event will take place on June 8-9, 2024, with teams covering 22, 36, or 54 miles across Perthshire’s rugged terrain within 24 hours.

Dover Fueling Solutions’ Dundee office has been actively involved for three years, with the ‘Dover Dream Team’ raising over £10,000 for the charity. This year, 16 staff members are participating, reinforcing their commitment to supporting veterans.

Kitija Zalaiskalna, Marketing Communications Specialist, highlighted the team spirit, stating, “The Cateran Yomp has become an event that unites us, makes us stronger, and allows us to support colleagues who were once in service.”

Businesses can engage by entering teams or supporting the event through sponsorships, with opportunities ranging from goody bag sponsorships to supporting checkpoints. The event not only promotes team-building but also offers businesses a chance to showcase commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility.

Harry Whiteley, Senior Events Manager at the Army Benevolent Fund, emphasised the unique challenge, saying, “If you’re looking for a team-building event with a difference, one you and your colleagues will never forget, the Cateran Yomp is for you.”
